Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Clean Plate Club is a pop/soul and jazz-funk band bringing infectious grooves, rich harmonies, and high-energy performances to the Twin Cities music scene. Drawing inspiration from 70s legends like Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, and Tower of Power, as well as modern funk revivalists Cory Wong, Couch, and Lawrence, Clean Plate Club delivers a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh.

Formed by University of Minnesota Jazz I students, the group’s chemistry and musicianship quickly set them apart. In early 2025, Clean Plate Club made waves at the U of M Battle of the Bands, winning their first round and earning a spot at Spring Jam 2025.

That same year, they released their debut single “Tourist Trap” — a bright, groove-heavy track that captures their signature blend of tight rhythm sections and soulful hooks. The band has since brought their dynamic live show to Minneapolis favorites including White Squirrel, Day Block, and Amsterdam Bar & Hall.

Beyond the stage, Clean Plate Club connects with fans through their playful short-form content on Instagram and TikTok, often filmed while literally sitting on the floor — a fitting reflection of their down-to-earth vibe and creative spirit.
